You must first become a Post or Auxiliary Member of VFW Post 7873, prior to signing a real estate or for-sale-by-owner contract to lease a lot. For eligibility information please visit vfw.org for veteran membership or vfwauxiliary.org for Auxiliary membership. Membership applications are voted on at our monthly meetings, every 3rd Saturday at the Post at 11am.

Lots are leased, not owned. You will be required to sign the Lot Lease Agreement and agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations set forth by the VFW Post 7873 and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Only the structure on the property can be owned. Permanent structures are not allowed on leased lots. Only mobile homes or RVs are allowed. Annual lot lease fees are $700 (subject to change) and due to the Post by December 31st each year. Lot holders are not allowed to rent their homes, as stated in the Lot Lease Agreement and Rules and Regulations.

Any changes to the property, such as adding or demolishing a home, adding carports or sheds, etc., must first be approved. All detailed changes must be submitted to the Post prior to making any changes. The Post will submit your request to the Army Corps of Engineers. This information is also included in the Rules and Regulations.
